Know what the Great Pyramid, Eiffel Tower, and an In-N-Out Burger have in common? They were all designed and built by architects.
Architecture is the art and science of designing and building structures and the impact it has on society cannot be overestimated. Architecture determines the very way we experience and move through life. As Winston Churchill said, “We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us”.
In the Architecture program at MCC, you’ll learn what you need to begin a career as a technician in architectural design, drafting, or urban development. You can also use your degree and certificate to continue studying architecture at a four-year university.
The Architecture program has three tracks:
- Architecture Design
- Architectural Drafting
- Urban Development

Modern society is in constant need of new and remodeled residential and commercial buildings, not to mention a physical infrastructure to support an ever-growing population — great news for the architecture professional-in-training.
A career in architecture requires highly-specific technical skills, knowledge, and experience. The education and training can be rigorous and challenging, but the rewards are often as great.
